Governors
St Bartholomew's C of E Primary School Governing Body
Governors contribute to the work of the Governing Board in ensuring high standards of achievement for all children in the school.
St Bartholomew’s governors do this by:
- Setting the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
To achieve these goals governors meet to discuss, challenge and support the school and its staff. The full Governing Board meet once a term, but governors will also attend committee meeting to focus on particular areas of the school. These committees are:
- Staffing & Finance
- Health, Safety, Safeguarding & Site
- Curriculum and Standards
- Committee Chair's Forum
The proposed timetable for Governors meetings for the 2024 - 2025 Academic Year is at the bottom of this page along with the Governors Areas of Responsibility and Monitoring.
