Our Curriculum
St Bartholomew’s provides an exciting, diverse and balanced curriculum for all children. Teaching and learning is based upon the 2014 National Curriculum, with subjects delivered and linked, as relevant, through topic-based thematic foci. Developing key skills in reading, writing and maths is a strength of the school and the children make excellent use of wonderful outdoor spaces. Trips and/ or visitors are organised on a termly basis to complement the learning and residential visits, occur in years 2, 4, and 6.
The school has excellent resources to support the curriculum and children’s progress is carefully tracked throughout the Key Stages with support and challenge where necessary.
